Affiliate disclosure
LakeLevelNow is a free, independent site. Some links on lake pages are affiliate links, which means if you book a charter, guided trip, or boat rental through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That keeps the site free and the data updating.
Current status
Affiliate links are not yet active. The recreation-booking buttons on lake pages are placeholders while partner accounts (FishingBooker, Captain Experiences, Boatsetter) are being set up. No commission is earned yet, and no outbound affiliate link is live. This page and the buttons update automatically once tracked links are pasted into src/consts.ts.
Editorial independence
The water-level data is never influenced by affiliate relationships. Readings come from USGS and CDEC public feeds and are shown the same way whether or not a lake page carries affiliate links. Levels and percent-full are not modified to favor any partner.
Analytics and privacy
Updated 5 September 2026. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, views of almanac offers, sample views, and checkout clicks. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Our events send public page paths and product identifiers, not email addresses, payment details, or anything entered into a tool. Page query strings and fragments are excluded. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. This tracking does not load when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
A checkout click measures interest, not a completed payment. Stripe processes payments separately. Our existing first-party almanac counter also records event names, lake slugs, and placement identifiers.
